A liposome is a tiny bubble made out of the same material as the cell membrane of each of our cells in the body. Membranes are usually made of phospholipids, which are molecules that have a head group and a tail group. The head is attracted to water, and the tail, which is made of a long hydrocarbon chain, is repelled by water. In nature, phospholipids are found in stable membranes composed of two layers (a bi-layer). In the presence of water, the heads are attracted to water and line up to form a surface facing the water. The tails are repelled by water, and line up to form a surface away from the water. In a cell, one layer of heads faces outside of the cell, attracted to the water in the environment. Another layer of heads faces inside the cell, attracted by the water inside the cell. The hydrocarbon tails of one layer face the hydrocarbon tails of the other layer, and the combined structure forms a bi-layer. What is outside the cell is kept from entering the cell unless it can pass through the cell membrane. This is nature’s way of protecting the cell from foreign insult. Bacteria, germs and toxin cannot enter the cell unless it can pass through this phospholipids bi-layer cell membrane.  The same protection, however, reduces delivery of potentially beneficial material required by the cell when needed.

Since its discovery in 1961, liposome has been used extensively for many years in the medical community to deliver tiny amounts of therapeutic substances to specific target organs and tissues without being altered. It is nature’s perfect delivery system designed to be able to pass seamlessly through lipids barriers in the 70 trillion cell membranes of the body. To deliver molecules to sites of action inside the cell, the liposome enters the cell from the outside and emerges once inside, delivering liposome content into the cell.




Construction of the liposome is a highly technical and time consuming process. It is only as good as its structural integrity and its size. Lipsomes are formed by different structural blocks or lamellar. The lamellar can be single or multiple layered. A Single layer is more pliable, and multiple lamellar are more strong. A perfect balance is absolutely necessary for proper membrane stability and integrity during its journey to the cell. Liposomes must also be sized properly to maximize its ability to transverse the cell membrane. Construction of the right liposome structure and size is therefore critical.

LipoNano™ C represents a major breakthrough in therapeutic nutrient delivery system of Vitamin C with several key characteristics. First, Liposomal Encapsulation Technology (LET) is used. Important for Recovery from Adrenal Exhaustion May 21, 2010

After consulting with Dr. Lam, the renowned M.D. who specializes in treating adrenal fatigue, I was told to begin taking LipoNano C.  I've done a lot of research on adrenal exhaustion and have learned that the highest concentration of Vitamin C in the entire human body is in the adrenals, so it's no wonder that those with depleted adrenals need mass amounts of readily assimilated Vitamin C. LipoNano C definitely delivers in this regard, but those taking it need to abide by the old adage, "start low and go slow." Since LipoNano C is a far more bio-available form of Vitamin C than regular ascorbic acid capsules or tablets, it's important to heed that advice.  Follow Dr. Lam's instructions.  It's possible to feel too  'stimulated' by taking too much too soon, so again, go slow.  I apparently have Stage 3 Adrenal Exhaustion (a severe case) and can been noticing modest gains while taking LipoNano C and I'm optimistic that over time, these modest gains will equal a complete recovery.

Excellent product, tastes gross but it works May 21, 2010

As a medical student and researcher, I was skeptical but hopeful that Lipo NanoC would deliver.  I couldn't afford to purchase it due to my student budget, so I bought over the counter vitamin C tablets and took those until I had saved up enough money to purchase the LNC.  I noticed an immediate difference in my energy levels, muscle pains, fatigue, even headaches.  The LNC worked for me, and I am really grateful to be able to function more efficiently and to feel better, healthier.  I wish they would do something about the taste, however. . . I personally think it is horrid tasting.  My family members actually think the taste isn't so bad, so I guess it must be me.  For me, the real benefits definitely outweigh the taste, hence the 5 stars.

When I first got this Vit C I was somewhat skeptical about it. But it has certainly made an enormous difference for me. It alleviated some of my symptoms (muscle pain and weakness),  improved my digestion (enabled me to consume more meat) and in general made me feel so much better. For the first time in years I felt like I could pull through this nightmare of exhaustion and helplessness.
In order to prove its effectiveness I stopped it for four or five times, waited for a week or two and analyzed the results. Time and time again I noticed the marked improvement when I was taking it. Without the LipoNano C all my adrenal related symptoms returned in a matter of days. It was a no-brainer that my adrenals undoubtedly benefited from it.
This is probably the only supplement which might really work in the Stage III of the Adrenal Fatigue.

This is a great product! I used to take vitamin C in the form of pills, but I would always have diarrhea because I have a very sensitive body. I am able to take LipoNano C without a hitch and I am getting more Vitamin C directly into my body! After taking LipoNano C, I feel a huge difference. I can't recommend this product more!!
